The section of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine has 54 faculty members (to include Sr., Jr., PhD, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant faculty) and is a multifaceted program, with on-going interests in asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis, sleep medicine, the pediatric airway and medical education.
Our section has a significant research portfolio and a robust clinical portfolio with many quality and safety initiatives as well as innovation and expansion projects including transforming our sleep program, developing our pulmonary interventional bronchoscopy program, and developing our clinical and research lung fibrosis program.
Our fellowship program is highly pursued based on our current and historical reputation. The section of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine is currently ranked #4 in the country by US News and World Report, including a top ranking for reputation.
