Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by performing regular cleaning duties, food handling, and adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Manage beverage and food preparation tasks swiftly during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining a hygienic workspace.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with café operations, including beverage preparation and serving techniques.
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential.
