UH MacDonald Women's Hospital is growing to meet the needs of our community, and we are looking for talented nurses to join our compassionate and dedicated team of Women's Health professionals.
The Labor and Delivery unit at the UH MacDonald Women's Hospital provides services to care for inpatient and outpatient pregnant women up to six (6) weeks postpartum who have an acute need for care. Designated as a Level VI Labor and Delivery unit (High Risk Unit), services provided may or may not be for labor and delivery. The unit serves as the inpatient and outpatient obstetrical operating room, outpatient evaluation and testing site, recovery room, and unit for the immediate stabilization of adults and newborns. Intrauterine fetal procedures or surgeries may also be performed in this department.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education
-
Master's Degree Required for Level 4 NICU, Labor &Delivery, Post-Partum and Antenatal Units
Work Experience
-
3+ years clinical experience in OB required. Labor and Delivery preferred.

Experience with education, teaching in clinical setting (Required)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and

Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)

Certification in a specialty clinical area or nursing professional development (Required within 1 Year)
