Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Photographer with phlebotomy experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ophthalmic imaging and patient care, combined with proficiency in phlebotomy procedures. This role involves capturing high-quality ocular images, assisting with patient intake, and supporting clinical operations to ensure accurate diagnostics and exceptional patient service.
Duties
- Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment to perform precise eye measurements.
- Capture detailed ophthalmic photographs and imaging data for diagnostic purposes, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting vital signs and medical histories while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures safely and efficiently to obtain blood samples as required for diagnostic testing.
- Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment, ensuring all devices operate optimally and meet clinical standards.
- Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and uphold clinical confidentiality policies.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with medical records regulations.
- Provide direct patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing questions, and ensuring a comfortable experience throughout examinations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to eye examinations.
- Experience with medical office operations, including EMR/EHR management and medical records documentation.
- Skilled in phlebotomy techniques with a focus on safety, aseptic procedures, and patient comfort.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations.
- Ability to operate medical equipment accurately while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies.
- Knowledge of optical principles related to eye refraction and ophthalmic diagnostic imaging procedures.
