Duties
- Assist with the preparation and mixing of ingredients according to established recipes and production protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment used in ice cream manufacturing, including pasteurizers, freezers, and packaging machinery
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other food safety management standards
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of all production areas, adhering to safety standards in production and sanitation protocols
- Support packaging operations by labeling, sealing, and preparing products for shipment while following regulatory/legal compliance standards in production
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times to ensure safety standards in production are maintained
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling ingredients or finished products, including operating forklifts when certified and necessary
Skills
- Strong understanding of food industry safety standards such as HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and regulatory/legal compliance standards in production
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, food processing techniques, and sanitation procedures within a food production environment
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting industrial equipment and performing routine maintenance or repairs as needed
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards in food safety and product consistency
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining safety standards in production environments
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with forklift operation (certification preferred) and other industrial equipment used in food manufacturing

Pay: $21.78 - $26.23 per hour
