The Opportunity & Schedule
- Status: Full-time
- Hours: Mon/Wed/Fri (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | Tue (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) | Thu (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Flexibility: Requires alternating weekends and some holiday coverage.
What You Will Do
- Patient Care: Perform initial evaluations, monitor hospitalized pets, and administer doctor-directed treatments.
- Surgical Support: Prep surgical suites, induce and maintain anesthesia, use digital radiology, and monitor post-op recovery.
- Lab & Pharmacy: Collect and prepare samples (urine, fecal, ear cytology), run lab tests, and accurately dispense medications.
- Client Connection: Safely restrain patients during exams, educate owners, and communicate recovery updates.
What We Are Looking For
- Credentials: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or a recent grad awaiting certification. (Note: Candidates with 1+ years of proven experience will be considered for a Veterinary Assistant role).
- Core Skills: Strong foundation in vaccine protocols, venipuncture, heartworm/flea prevention, and animal husbandry.
- Attributes: Dependable work ethic, strong judgment, great communication, and a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 po8unds daily.
