The Quality Technician is responsible for the testing and evaluation of new products under development and existing products. Tests are primarily designed to measure functional performance characteristics of adhesives and polymeric materials. Responsibilities include writing test plans, maintaining the lab equipment, materials, and maintenance of quality records. Upon completion of testing, responsibilities include documenting test results, data analysis and communicating results to the engineering team. Quality Technicians also support continuous improvement efforts, management of customer complaints and facilitation of corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Testing of product per quality criteria using various test methodology.
- Accurate and timely recording of test results.
- Monitoring and reporting of “out of specification” (OOS) test results.
- Evaluation and communication of quality performance as part of improvement teams.
- Analyzing data using basic statistical evaluation to identify trends and abnormalities.
- Day-to-day maintenance of printer systems and laboratory test equipment.
- Writing, maintaining and/or executing test plans.
- Communication with peers, management and the engineering team.
- Notification when results are outside of specifications.
- The use of SAP and similar PC software to run test equipment and record quality test results.
- Ordering and maintenance of laboratory testing supplies.
