Essential Functions:

Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for automotive lab exercises.

Ensure that the lab area is clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.

Maintain inventory of automotive tools, supplies and equipment. Inform the instructors when additional resources are needed.

Perform minor repairs on lab equipment when necessary.
-
Promote a safe and effective learning environment for students in conjunction with faculty and staff.
-
Assist students during lab activities by answering questions, demonstrating techniques, and providing guidance under the supervision of the instructor.

Ensure that all safety protocols are followed by students during lab activities.
-
Help students troubleshoot common issues with Canvas/Cengage systems during digital and hands-on training.
-
Works collaboratively with other department personnel to meet the College program and accreditation standards and requirements.

Works within the assigned program budget.

Orient new students to classroom facilities, technology, and program/classroom performance and behavior expectations, procedures, and safety.

Promotes job readiness, encourages professionalism, and good work habits.

Qualifications:
To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Certifications: ASE Certs preferred.

Experience: Must be currently in the STECH automotive program or have documentable automotive work experience.

Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.

Probationary Period: Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of a six (6) month probationary period.
