Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, bobas, specialty beverages, and pastries with precision and care
- Operate POS system (currently using Elavon) to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and handling areas
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
- Manage cash handling duties including cashiering, basic math calculations, and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with food preparation and food service tasks, ensuring quality and presentation meet brand standards
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness throughout your shift
- Engage with performers and customers when there are events and meetings in the coffee shop
- Maintain a valid Food Handler Certificate
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in café/food service environments with strong coffee knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems for smooth transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper food preparation techniques
- Ability to work quickly, stay organized, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
