Our client, an innovative manufacturing company, is looking for a Production Floor Lead to join their team in Hayward, CA. This role is responsible for coordinating production activities, supporting assembly operations, managing materials, and ensuring an efficient, organized, and safe work environment during the second shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clear defective parts from the assembly line at the end of each shift.
- Monitor component levels at workstations and submit restock requests to the warehouse.
- Ensure all production areas are organized, well-stocked, and free of bottlenecks.
- Track and log material transfers, including finished goods, scrap, and warehouse returns.
- Address equipment or fixture issues promptly by coordinating with technicians or engineers.
- Escalate quality issues and ensure team-wide communication; assist with issuing quality alerts when needed.
- Support operators by providing assistance, gathering feedback, and maintaining workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the production floor.
- Oversee and participate in training activities; ensure work is performed according to instructions.
- Ensure training documentation is current and collaborate with QC on any needed updates.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a production lead is amust.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively.
- Must be available for overtime and weekend shifts when needed.
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00/hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Additional: Overtime and Saturday availability may be required
