Experienced Structural Engineer to manage, lead and perform various structural design engineering analysis as well as a variety of tasks that support the overall project goals. The structural engineer will have the opportunity to work on new residential design, additions, and alterations/modifications. bridge, building as well as retaining walls. Perform structural inspections and assessments.
The candidate can either be a full-time employee(W-2) with limited benefits or as independent contractor (1099), and must be local.
Responsibilities:
- Project management and client interactions
- Carry out structural design, inspection and assessments.
- Prepare and review plans, construction drawings, and specifications
- Prepare all required professional documents and reports
- Provide CAD for all projects as necessary.
- Carry out construction administration responsibilities as needed
- Review and approve shop drawing, responding to and contractor questions
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering required, MS in Structural Engineering preferred
- Minimum 8-12 years’ experience as a Structural Engineer, Residential experience is preferred.
- MA PE license is required; other New States is a plus.
