The Director of Psychiatric Operations leads the daily operations, clinical quality, and strategic development of the Psychiatry, TMS, and Spravato programs across multiple sites. This role combines strong operational leadership with clinical expertise to ensure high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering staff development and program expansion. As a Registered Nurse, this role also includes clinical oversight, patient safety management, and participation in direct patient care as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Multi-Site Management
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Psychiatry, TMS, and Spravato services across all clinical locations.
- Supervise department coordinators, treatment technicians, and support staff; conduct performance evaluations and foster team development.
- Standardize workflows, scheduling, patient flow, and best practices across multiple sites.
- Manage TMS and Spravato program operations, including staff training, equipment coordination, and efficiency optimization.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor performance, ensure consistency, and provide hands-on support.
- Track key performance metrics, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with the COO on staffing, budgeting, recruitment, and strategic planning.
Clinical Oversight & Quality
- Provide clinical and nursing leadership for treatment staff in TMS and Spravato programs.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and best practices across all sites.
- Support coordination of care between psychiatric providers, support staff, and external teams.
- Conduct chart reviews and audits to maintain documentation quality and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in policy and protocol development related to patient safety, infection control, and treatment procedures.
- Respond to clinical concerns and support escalation processes as needed.
- Provide staff education, training, and competency validation on clinical procedures and safety practices.
- Maintain RN licensure and current certifications (e.g. BLS)
Compliance & Program Excellence
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, insurance, REMS, and billing requirements across all sites.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain a strong culture of safety and accountability.
- Collaborate with leadership to align clinical and operational goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of leadership experience in behavioral health or outpatient settings, with multi-site oversight preferred.
- Strong clinical experience in psychiatry, TMS, and/or Spravato highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead operations and provide clinical oversight across multiple sites.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel between sites as needed.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
