1099 Mid/Final Construction Inspector – $200 Per Inspection

Position Summary
Struction Solutions is seeking an experienced Mid/Final Construction Inspector to perform residential construction inspections throughout Tampa and Hillsborough County. Candidates must have construction, restoration, or property inspection experience and a strong understanding of residential building practices and repair methods.
The inspector will evaluate construction progress and completed repairs, confirm compliance with approved estimates and scopes of work, identify deficiencies, and submit detailed photographs and inspection reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform mid-construction and final inspections on residential properties.
- Verify repairs are completed according to approved estimates, scopes of work, applicable building codes, and project requirements.
- Evaluate construction progress, materials, workmanship, and overall quality.
- Inspect roofing, structural, interior, exterior, electrical, and other approved repair items.
- Test electrical receptacles using a receptacle tester.
- Identify incomplete, defective, unsafe, or noncompliant work.
- Confirm all approved repairs and scope items have been completed.
- Identify remaining deficiencies and prepare punch-list documentation.
- Determine whether projects are ready for closure and payment.
- Take detailed photographs of completed work, construction progress, and deficiencies.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and status updates.
- Communicate findings with Struction Solutions management, project managers, contractors, and clients.
- Track project timelines and manage assigned inspections.
- Ensure all closeout documentation is complete and accurate.
- Follow Struction Solutions guidelines, client requirements, and applicable safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Construction experience is required.
- Experience in residential construction, restoration, property inspections, or a related field.
- Knowledge of residential building practices, repair methods, and construction standards.
- Familiarity with roofing, structural, interior, exterior, and electrical repairs.
- Ability to read and understand scopes of work, estimates, and construction documents.
- Ability to identify workmanship, quality, safety, and compliance concerns.
- Strong photography, documentation, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections.
- Proficiency with inspection/reporting software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Tampa and Hillsborough County.
Required Equipment
Inspectors must provide their own:
- Reliable vehicle
- Smartphone or digital camera capable of taking clear photographs
- Computer or tablet with reliable internet access
- Receptacle tester
- Measuring tape
- Flashlight
- Appropriate personal protective equipment
- Other basic tools needed to complete assigned inspections

Compensation Details
This is a 1099 independent-contractor opportunity paying $200 per completed Mid/Final inspection. Assignments are provided based on project needs and are not guaranteed. Compensation includes the on-site inspection, required photographs, completed inspection report, and local travel. Inspectors are responsible for providing their own transportation, equipment, insurance, and applicable taxes.
Pay: $200.00 per day
