Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to ensure smooth food production flow
- Assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support the kitchen team during meal preparation by handling basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Organize and stock supplies efficiently to ensure all ingredients are readily available for service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent cross-contamination
- Help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and general kitchen upkeep to maintain a hygienic environment
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service demonstrates strong foundational skills
- Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and kitchen operations enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Experience with food safety protocols and knife skills ensures safe and efficient meal prep
- Prior involvement in catering or food industry settings is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes supports your success as a Prep Cook
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
