Responsibilities

- Deliver child development instruction through age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, motor, language, and social skills.
- Conduct classroom management to maintain a productive learning atmosphere while addressing individual needs and behaviors effectively.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards by documenting observations and incidents accurately.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices through ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience and childcare expertise.
- Skilled in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing engaging activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical education.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect; first aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs or require early intervention services.
- Strong understanding of child welfare principles and childhood development stages to guide instructional approaches.
