Bakery offering an array of French Macarons, cakes by the slice, coffee, custom cakes, wedding cakes, and more! Looking for skilled and reliable individuals to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Filling, covering, and decorating cakes
- Possible working with fondant and/or gumpaste to create different items (sugar flowers, figurines, etc.)
- Restocking materials and ingredients
- Baking and prepping items such as cinnamon rolls, macarons, etc.
- Cleaning kitchen including dish washing, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Keeping work area clean and organized at all times
- Other related tasks may be assigned as necessary Skills/Qualifications
- MUST have some experience and examples of previous work
- Some experience working with custom, tiered buttercream cakes (wedding cake design an asset)
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines at times
- Able to read, understand and follow recipes/order instructions
- Individual creativity encouraged to improve custom designs
- Possesses strong creative decorating skills (new cake design ideas always welcome)
- Excellent team player and communicator, with a willingness to learn
- MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK possible early mornings, evenings, weekends, and weekday shifts, some late nights, and holidays
- Possibly able to work a day or two at our Garden City kitchen
****ADDITIONAL PAY if you are able to deliver cakes as well****
Pay: $15-18 (PLUS tips)
