River Valley Charter School is seeking a creative, collaborative, and student-centered part-time Art Teacher to inspire students in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. RVCS is a Montessori-based public charter school that values community, curiosity, independence, creativity, and the development of the whole child.The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of child development, a passion for art education, and an appreciation for child-centered learning. Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Montessori philosophy and practices, or a willingness to learn and incorporate Montessori-inspired approaches into their teaching.This position is especially well-suited for an educator who values collaboration and professional growth. The Art Teacher will work closely with an experienced instructional mentor to develop curriculum, instructional practices, and learning strategies.
Dedicated time is built into the schedule for regular mentor meetings, collaborative planning, and multiple check-ins throughout the year, ensuring ongoing support, reflection, and professional development.
