Requirements:
Previous Law Enforcement experience
Possess one of the following valid NJ certifications:
1. Retired Police Officer (RPO)
2. Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW)
3. CCW with a Security Officer Registration Act (SORA)
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Valid New Jersey Drivers License

Knowledge and/or experience with monitoring and control of adolescents
-
Must be physically fit, mobile and flexible with the ability to run, jog and climb stairs
-
Ability to restrain students and quickly respond to an emergency situation
-
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in performance of job functions
-
Ability to conduct extensive motorized patrols of district schools and related properties and sit for extended periods of time
-
Must be able to work in the elements
-
Ability to read and write English

Understanding attitude while working with students and staff

Basic computer skills
-
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Position is in accordance with Teamsters contract
