Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to inspire and support individuals, particularly children and young adults, in their personal growth and development. As a Mentor, you will serve as a positive role model, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance to help mentees overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with mentees by offering consistent support, active listening, and positive reinforcement.
- Develop personalized mentoring plans that align with each individual’s needs, interests, and goals.
- Assist mentees with social skills development, conflict management, and decision-making strategies.
- Collaborate with families, educators, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for mentees.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, self-esteem, and community involvement.
- Monitor progress regularly and adjust mentoring approaches to maximize positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress notes, and any incidents in compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in educational, social work, or childcare settings.
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health strategies.
- Strong mentoring skills combined with excellent communication and conflict management abilities.
- Background in social work or child welfare is highly desirable.
- Ability to foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages growth and trust.
- Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations with patience and professionalism.

- One year of experience of working with youth or related field and at least 21 years of age or older
- Valid Arizona Driver's License and 60-month Driving History Report
- A Physical Health report and a current CPR/First Aid Card
License/Certification:
- Arizona Driver's License (Required)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (Preferred)
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
