Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in a primary care setting, excellent knowledge of medications and diagnostic procedures, and the ability to support both providers and patients in delivering high-quality, coordinated care.
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Alabama
- Previous experience in a primary care office setting required
- Strong knowledge of medications, pharmacology, laboratory procedures, anatomy, and biology
- Experience obtaining prior authorizations for medications and radiology procedures
- Familiarity with local specialty groups and referral networks
- Knowledge of HEDIS requirements and quality measures
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care coordination outside of scheduled appointments
- Advise and educate patients on laboratory results, dietary recommendations, and medication management
- Obtain prior authorizations for radiology procedures and medications in a timely manner
- Assist with insurance reporting and completion of insurance-related forms and documentation
- Manage and process home health orders in accordance with provider instructions
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with insurance carriers, specialty offices, and ancillary services on behalf of patients
Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
