Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cooler Worker to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment .Excellent customer service skills, and experience working in quick service or restaurant settings. This role offers an opportunity to develop merchandise skills and gain valuable experience in the retail industry , with a focus on maintaining cleanliness, organization and handling items safely, take decisions and supporting daily operations in a retail setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with walk-in cooler restocking and organization according to established standards.
- Operate POS systems in order to processing and transactions.
- Ensure proper items handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Support cashiering duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and customer transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including maintenance of premises and gas pumps..
- Restock supplies and ensure the cooler area is organized and stocked appropriately.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously.
- Assist with safety compliance and sanitation protocols throughout the shift.
- Support sales efforts through upselling items and engaging with customers to enhance their experience.
Skills
- Previous experience in restocking cooler, cashiering, or food service preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle fast-paced environments efficiently.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to cash handling, retail math, or grocery store operations.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
- Experience working in quick service restaurants, cafés, or retail food environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in cleanliness and safety standards.
