We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to fabricate, assemble, repair, and install high-quality custom cabinetry, furniture, and other wood products. The ideal candidate must have experience interpreting blueprints, operating woodworking equipment, and producing finished products that meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to build custom cabinets, furniture, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate and maintain woodworking equipment, including table saws, routers, planers, sanders, edge banders, and CNC machines.
- Install cabinets, countertops, trim, and other wood products at residential and commercial job sites is a plus.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality, safety, and design standards.
- Repair, refinish, or modify existing cabinets and woodwork as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a woodworking apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker, Carpenter, or Woodworker.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Strong mathematical and measuring skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience operating CNC woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of cabinet installation methods and finish carpentry.
- Familiarity with a variety of wood species, laminates, veneers, hardware, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for reading digital drawings or operating CNC software are a plus.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a woodworking shop and at residential or commercial installation sites.
- Regular exposure to wood dust, noise, adhesives, and power tools.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production and installation deadlines.
