Starting Pay: $17.50 per hour
Current CNA or Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification: $18.00 per hour

What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help adults with developmental disabilities participate in meaningful activities while encouraging independence and building confidence.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely transport participants to and from the center and during scheduled community outings using company vehicles.
- Support participants with daily activities, including personal care, meals, mobility, and other individual needs.
- Encourage participant independence, engagement, and involvement in daily programming.
- Assist participants during recreational, educational, life-skills, and community-based activities.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, positive, and structured environment.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow each participant’s Person-Centered Service Plan and applicable safety procedures.
- Communicate and work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, participants, and families.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license required. Must meet the driving requirements of Horizons Enrichment Center's commercial auto insurance policy
- Ability to obtain a Missouri Class E driver's license within a designated timeframe
- Ability to pass required background screenings
Preferred (Not Required)
- Current CNA certification (+$0.50/hour)
- Current Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification (+$0.50/hour)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
