Perform preventative maintenance and ensures that all plant equipment is maintained and in working order

Active member on the safety team and with safety remediation
- Disassemble, repair plant equipment and systems as needed
-
Diagnoses and troubleshoots plant equipment and system issues
-
Assist in installing, leveling, set up, and startup of new machinery and equipment. Also, assist in anchoring and leveling or machinery and equipment after relocation
-
Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements
-
Escalates equipment issues as necessary
- Responsible for maintaining high quality standards
-
Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement/lean initiatives
-
Maintain a clean and safe work area through 5S and housekeeping
-
May need to operate a forklift
-
Participates in special projects as required
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of two years related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in machine operation.
Skills/Experience-
3-5 years of maintenance experience

Required: Ability to operate mandrels, cranes, hoists, and other various equipment typical in a manufacturing environment, as well as various hand power tools

Required: Ability to perform physical manufacturing work; good mechanical aptitude

Required: Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis

Required: Must be able to pass a background check and a ten panel drug screening

Required: Basic electrical and welding experience

Preferred: Basic computer skills

Preferred: Experience working with the following materials is preferred: rubber, elastomers, metals

Preferred: Certified in OSHA programs and practices
