Occupation: Fiber Optic and Coaxial Installation Technician
Job Description: Internet and cable installation technician responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications services in homes, businesses, or commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install internet, cable television, and telephone systems.
· Run and connect cables (fiber optic or coaxial).
· Configure equipment such as modems, routers, and set-top boxes.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot signal or connection issues.
· Perform quality assurance tests to ensure optimal service.
· Provide customer support and explain how the equipment operates.
Required Skills:
· Knowledge of networking and telecommunications.
· Proficiency with power tools and measurement instruments.
· Ability to work at heights (utility poles, ladders).
· Technical problem-solving skills.
· Strong customer communication skills.
Working Conditions:
· Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors.
· Exposure to various weather conditions.
· Physically demanding work (climbing ladders, carrying equipment).
· Variable schedule based on installation assignments.
Education/Training:
· Technical degree/certification in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field.
· In many cases, practical training or specific certifications are required.
· No prior experience required.
Mandatory Requirements:

· Valid Driver's License.
· Must own a vehicle (Van, Pickup Truck, or SUV).
