El Don Cocina & Cantina, our modern Mexican restaurant and cantina, is seeking experienced Servers & Bartenders to join our team. We’re looking for hospitality-driven team members who can provide polished, attentive service in a fast-paced restaurant and nightlife environment.
Important:
This is not an entry-level position. Please apply only if you have at least 1–2 years of serving or bartending experience and are comfortable working busy dinner, brunch, and event shifts.
Duties:
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain strong knowledge of our food, cocktail, tequila, and mezcal offerings.
- Make recommendations and confidently upsell food, cocktails, and premium selections.
- Bartenders must prepare cocktails consistently according to house recipes and standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service and bar areas.
- Work closely with hosts, bussers, kitchen staff, and management to provide a smooth guest experience.
- Handle multiple tables or drink tickets efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Follow all alcohol-service, health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant serving or bartending experience.
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant, upscale-casual, lounge, or nightlife environment is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confident personality with the ability to engage guests professionally.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy shifts.
- Bartenders should have knowledge of classic cocktails and proper shaking, stirring, dilution, garnishing, and drink presentation.
- Knowledge of tequila, mezcal, and Mexican cuisine is a plus.
- Must be dependable and available for evenings, weekends, brunches, and special events.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
