Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and diapering for infants and young children
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and behavioral management
- Support individuals with disabilities by helping with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks in a respectful and empowering manner
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols; administer first aid when necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or team members to update on progress or concerns
- Engage children in educational play, teaching basic skills, and encouraging social interaction within a nurturing setting
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers with patience and understanding of their unique needs
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support positive behavior in children
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Classroom experience or childcare training that emphasizes safety, engagement, and developmental milestones
