Job Summary
The maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair for all buildings, grounds and fleet vehicles in accordance with applicable Federal, state and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks in all facilities
- Completes work orders submitted by program staff
- Develops and adheres to a schedule of facility updates
- Pressure wash exterior of facilities annually or as needed
- Provides lawncare to include mowing and shrub trimming
- Schedules cleaning and inspections of HVAC and generators with qualified vendor
- Performs preventative maintenance on company fleet
- Weatherizing tasks for cold weather
- Completes and updates work orders, noting date of service and tasks completed.
- Coordinates with supervisor when parts or products are needed and when maintenance tasks require a licensed or more experienced technician.
- Keeps tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Adheres to workplace health and safety standards.
- Supports group effort by handling additional tasks as directed.
Skills
- Ability to work independently;
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- familiarity with physical plant standards;
- familiarity with building systems and general automotive knowledge;
- ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
