What You Will Learn
During the apprenticeship, you will train under experienced service technicians and learn how to service and repair commercial equipment, including:
- Walk-in coolers and freezers
- Reach-in coolers
- Prep tables
- Ice machines
- Commercial HVAC units
- Rooftop units
- Electrical components
- Refrigeration systems
- Mechanical systems
- Preventive maintenance procedures
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Customer communication
- Jobsite safety
- Service documentation
You will learn how to diagnose the real cause of a problem instead of guessing or just changing parts.
What the Job Looks Like
This is a field service apprenticeship. You will ride with and assist experienced technicians, work at customer locations, use tools, carry parts, perform maintenance, help with repairs, and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.
This job is hands-on and physically demanding. You may work:
- On rooftops
- Around commercial kitchens
- In hot, cold, wet, or tight spaces
- On ladders
- Around electrical and mechanical equipment
- At different customer sites throughout the day

Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in different jobsite conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship
- Desire to build a long-term career in the trades
