At Building Kidz of Chandler, Center Support Teachers are the backbone of our classrooms. This flexible, hands-on role puts you where the center needs you most each day — supporting lead teachers, keeping routines running smoothly, and making sure every child across every age group receives consistent, high-quality care. What you'll do
- Float across infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms to support lead teachers and maintain required ratios
- Assist with daily activities, classroom routines, and smooth transitions throughout the day
- Help implement curriculum-based lessons and enrichment activities aligned with Building Kidz goals
- Conduct focused observations and assist with documentation of children's developmental progress
- Maintain safe, clean, and well-supervised classroom environments at all times
- Conduct accurate headcounts and name-to-face checks throughout the day
- Greet children and families warmly and professionally at drop-off and pick-up
- Maintain positive, consistent communication with families and center leadership
- Operate school vehicles for transportation duties as needed
- Uphold all Arizona state licensing requirements and Building Kidz policies
- Contribute to a nurturing, team-oriented culture across the entire center
Required by Arizona childcare licensing (AZDHS)
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed facility.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card (or ability to obtain one)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Food Handlers Card (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Completion of AZDHS new employee orientation/10-day training checklist upon hire
You might be a great fit if you have…
- At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare center (1+ year preferred)
- Comfort and confidence working across multiple age groups, from infants through school age
- 24 ECE units or a CDA credential — or are actively working toward one
- A flexible, go-with-the-flow attitude and strong situational awareness
- Dependable attendance and a professional, team-first mindset
- A valid Arizona driver's license (required for transportation duties)

Physical requirements
This is a fully active role across multiple classroom environments. Expect sitting on the floor, frequent bending, and moving quickly to respond to children's needs, as well as active play indoors and outdoors. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, operate school vehicles, and have the hearing and vision needed to monitor children's well-being at all times.
