Overview
Seeking responsible enthusiastic staff for an adaptive play center. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging environment for special needs children and young adults while using our center. Your primary focus will be assisting clients with adaptive equipment and encouraging activities. Ideal candidates will have experience and a passion for working with individuals with disabilities, be responsible, caring and respectful of physical, intellectual and developmental differences.
Responsibilities
- Assist and engage clients with adaptive play equipment and activities to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding their children's experiences and any concerns that may arise.
- Manage behavior effectively by using positive reinforcement techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events or themed activities within the play center.
Skills
- Experience with individuals with disabilities.
- Registered Behavior Technician (Preferred)
- Respect for people with different abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff.
- Responsible and dependable.
- A nurturing, patient and caring attitude.
