As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and strengthen our Quality and Food Safety programs.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operation.
This position will play a critical role in developing quality systems, supporting audits, managing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and industry standards
- Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits
- Manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective measures
- Review and maintain SOPs, GMPs, and quality documentation
- Train employees on food safety and quality standards
- Monitor production processes to ensure product consistency and compliance
- Work closely with Operations, Production, and Leadership teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Biology, Microbiology, or related field
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing
- Experience in Animal Food, Pet Food, Feed Manufacturing, or Food Manufacturing strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety programs
- Experience with FDA inspections and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading audits and quality investigations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Preferred Certifications
- HACCP Certification
- PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual)
- SQF Practitioner Certification
- Food Safety or Quality certifications
