Text Delray to 9543268551 if you can work Sunday 8am to 8pm
In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, provide emotional support, and ensure a safe, respectful environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster independence and promote well-being for those in your care. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accordingly using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Monitor vital signs regularly to ensure residents’ health stability and report any concerns promptly
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Support residents during outings or community activities, including driving when necessary and appropriate
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and resident progress in compliance with facility policies
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and behavior management techniques
- Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents and team members
- Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while respecting resident dignity and independence
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Competence in vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic nursing support
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties when required
- Willingness to perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe environment
- Knowledge of group home dynamics or personal care home settings is advantageous
