Responsibilities
- Safely operate propane delivery trucks, including tractor-trailers and tanker trucks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Plan and execute delivery routes using GPS navigation systems, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Deliver propane and equipment to residential, commercial and agricultural locations
- Manage logistics cargo handling efficiently while maintaining compliance with hazardous materials regulations for dangerous goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Load, secure, transport, and deliver propane and propane equipment while adhering to all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or safety concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries or issues during delivery visits, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on delivery driving; experience with freight transportation preferred.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) transportation highly desirable.
- Familiarity with truck types such as bobtails, semis and service trucks preferred
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods handling.
- Ability to operate or learn manual transmission vehicles confidently; experience with manual handling is essential.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for route planning on OTR routes.
- Demonstrated ability to load & unload cargo safely while following logistics cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety; familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures is a plus.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks and work in various weather conditions; must be able to stand, walk, lift heavy items safely, and perform routine vehicle inspections.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
