Position Summary
The Assembler Operator is responsible for assembling Battery Energy Storage Thermal Management Systems (BTMS), chillers, and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures / protocols.
Key Responsibilities
· Read and follow work instructions, drawings, blueprints, schematics, and SOP’S according to product specifications.
· Assemble parts, subassemblies, or finished products using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
· Operate assembly machinery and production line equipment safely and efficiently.
· Inspect components and finished products for defects, proper fit, function, and quality compliance.
· Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment issues, material shortages, defects, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
· Record production data, quantities, inspection results, and other required documentation accurately.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S, housekeeping, and company safety standards.
· Follow all applicable safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout requirements when applicable.
· Package, label, or stage completed products for the next process or shipment as required.
· Support and provide inputs for continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and workflow.
· Responsible for the equipment cleaning and autonomous maintenance on a regular basis;
· Responsible for meeting individual and plant level KPI.
· Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
· Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or machine operation experience preferred.
· Ability to read and follow written instructions, standard operating procedures, and basic technical drawings.
· Basic math, measurement, and computer skills for production reporting and documentation.
· Ability to use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring devices safely.
· Strong attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, high level of integrity, and passion and high sense of pride in daily work
· Strong commitment to quality and high regard for safety as a top priority.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials within company-defined weight limits.
· Ability to work around machinery, tools, noise, and standard manufacturing conditions.
· Must follow all safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.
This position may require overtime, shift work, weekend work, or flexible scheduling based on production needs.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
· Experience completing quality checks, production logs, or inspection reports.
· Forklift, pallet jack, or material handling experience, if required by the work area.
· Knowledge of workplace safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
