Service Manager / Writer — European Vehicle Specialist Shop

We're looking for someone who can run the front counter AND lead the shop floor — a hands-on manager who writes service, owns customer relationships, and holds the team accountable. Half your day is with customers. Half your day is making sure the shop runs the way it should.

Monday through Friday. No weekends. 8–6.
What You'll Own
Front Counter / Service Writing:
- Build trust with customers and walk them through recommended repairs based on technician findings and the customer's needs
- Write accurate estimates and invoices; follow up proactively so no customer is ever left wondering
- Answer phones, emails, and walk-ins with a relationship-first mindset
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects the Syncro standard
Shop Management:
- Oversee daily workflow for both the service team and the technician floor
- Dispatch jobs, manage scheduling, and keep the shop moving efficiently
- Hold techs and front counter staff accountable to shop processes and quality standards
- Coordinate parts ordering, vendor relationships, and job status
- Track and improve shop KPIs — ARO, CP/hr, cycle time, comebacks
- Report directly to ownership; help drive the direction of the business
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of automotive service advising experience required
- Proven leadership, supervisory, or shop management experience — you've managed people before
- European vehicle experience strongly preferred (BMW/Mini especially)
- Strong communicator with customers and staff alike
- Organized, decisive, and comfortable making calls when things get busy
- Comfortable with shop management software, estimating, and basic accounting
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
