Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs to prepare for examinations or procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols and physician orders
- Perform and interpret in house test and document the results
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information.
- Provide patient education on medication usage, health maintenance, and follow-up care to promote understanding and compliance
Requirements
- Valid LPN or RN license with current Florida state certification; Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
- Experience in pediatric settings such as urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology to ensure precise documentation and efficient workflow
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, basic X-ray procedures, and emergency response techniques such as Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient service; ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical settings
