**Education/Experience/Skills**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- Ideally, you are a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with at least 6 years of management experience, or you have over 6 years of veterinary experience to bring to our team.
- A strong foundation in veterinary medicine is essential to foster effective communication with our doctors and staff, ensuring high-quality care for our beloved animal patients.
- Your leadership and management skills should shine through in your decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- You are proficient in managing budgets, analyzing financial reports, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization that contribute to our financial health.
- A solid understanding of inventory management principles is a plus, as is proficiency with the latest veterinary management technology.
- We value critical thinking and innovative problem-solving, especially under pressure, so a knack for creative solutions will be a key asset.
- An empathetic listener and effective communicator, you thrive in team environments and remain calm under varied and sometimes challenging conditions.
**Position Responsibilities**
In this exciting role, you will:
- Develop and lead our dedicated hospital teams—veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and receptionists—fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
- Build strong relationships within the teams, ensuring accountability and a thriving cross-functional environment.
- Be the guiding force in understanding, implementing, and communicating all company policies and procedures, while promoting opportunities for growth within the team.
- Oversee daily hospital operations, executing strategic plans, managing staff, ensuring high-quality veterinary care, and effectively coordinating relief coverage.
- Take charge of accounts receivable, managing both client and employee accounts for smooth financial operations.
- Ensure accurate management of receptionists' end-of-day reconciliations, cash, and credit card payments, along with timecard processing for payroll.
- Balance the well-being of the hospital team with the overarching goals of the organization.
- Collaborate with upper management to scale and implement efficient processes.
- Utilize your business acumen to track financial goals and budgets, generating comprehensive financial reports that analyze the hospital's performance and profitability.
- Support our Inventory & Pharmacy Manager with industry price comparisons, ordering, and vendor relationships to streamline our inventory processes.
- Play a key role in human resources by hiring and onboarding new staff, conducting performance evaluations, and providing training and development opportunities that empower our team.
- Ensure our clinic's facilities are always well-maintained, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Establish internal operating procedures that guarantee the accuracy and completeness of veterinary records and compliance with best practices.
- Stay vigilant in maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and laws, developing appropriate procedures to meet these standards.
- Identify and implement strategies that allow all teammates to excel in their roles and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Review and analyze staffing plans, promoting effective use of staff while remaining mindful of labor costs and profitability.
- Handle customer relations with empathy and fairness, actively seeking feedback to enhance overall client satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and excellence, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of veterinary care.
