About the Role:
Join our energetic and supportive After School Program team! As a Head Counselor or Counselor in our After School Program, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for school-aged children during after-school hours. This is a hands-on, active role that involves guiding children through daily routines and facilitating engaging activities. You’ll work closely with the Program Director and other staff to implement a well-rounded schedule that combines academics, creativity, and physical activity. Whether you're helping with homework, leading a group art project, organizing a game, or encouraging teamwork, you’ll be a positive role model who helps children grow, learn, and have fun in a structured and nurturing setting. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are considering careers in education, child development, or youth programming and want meaningful, real-world experience working with kids.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and assisting in activities such as:
- Homework help
- Arts & crafts
- Science projects
- Cooking
- Games & physical activities
- Encouraging positive peer interaction and behavior
- Communicating with parents
Qualifications:
- College Student or Highschool Student
- Hands on experience working with children is a plus.
Hours:
Monday–Friday
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Compensation:
Starting at $17 per hour
