Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Afternoon Infant Staff member to join our dedicated childcare team. Duties
- Supervise and care for infants during afternoon hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory development, motor skills, and social interaction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment tailored to infants’ needs
- Monitor infants’ health and safety, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans that support each child’s growth and milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding infants’ daily activities and developmental progress
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education environments such as daycare, preschool, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle multiple infants compassionately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with parents or guardians
- Ability to maintain a nurturing attitude while adhering to safety standards and policies
- Flexibility to work during afternoon shifts, with a proactive approach to caregiving and classroom management
- Pass Criminal Background Check through the Mississippi State Department of Health

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
