We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to maintain the aesthetic and structural integrity of the property.
- Use hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose problems accurately.
- Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and other building systems.
- Lead small maintenance projects or repairs with minimal supervision while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in logs and reports; interpret schematics for complex repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize urgent repairs and coordinate scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality or residential sector.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical work, and building interior upkeep.
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, schematics interpretation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques and residential painting standards.
- Ability to perform welding tasks safely and effectively; familiarity with welding tools is preferred.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical equipment using devices such as ohmmeters; understanding of electrical systems is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English to clearly explain technical issues and collaborate with team members.
- Leadership qualities to guide junior staff or assist in training new team members when needed.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
