From the first spark to the final grind, you turn drawings into durable products. Your day starts by reviewing customer blueprints, deciphering weld symbols, and selecting the right wire and filler for steel, aluminum, and the occasional exotic alloy. You set fixtures, dial in amps and volts, lay down precise MIG/GMAW beads, verify dimensions with precision instruments, and document your work for certification. Before you clock out, you clean the work area, perform routine equipment maintenance, and take on other tasks your supervisor assigns to keep production moving.

Prepare joints, perform MIG/GMAW welding, and complete weld finishing to meet customer drawings, specifications, and instructions.

Interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints, including weld symbol requirements.

Select and apply appropriate wire and filler materials for various steel alloys, aluminum, and select exotic materials.

Set up fixturing and optimize welding parameters (amps, volts, etc.).

Operate cutting and heating torches safely and effectively.

Use conventional and precision measuring tools to verify work.

Conduct process inspections, maintain needed certifications, and complete documentation.

Perform routine welding equipment maintenance.

Execute finish grinding using manual and powered tools.

Follow safety protocols and maintain housekeeping standards.

Handle other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

High School Diploma.

Successful completion of our internal welding test.

At least one year of hands-on welding experience, including MIG/GMA.

Sharp attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Proficiency with heating and cutting torches.

Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings.
