Underground Utility Construction Laborer (No Experience Required)
Job description:
We are an established underground utilities company performing contract work for Virginia Natural Gas and others. Our work environment is professional, collaborative, and industrious. Our goal is to hire Underground Utility Construction Laborers with experience who are reliable and ready to work.

No utilities experience is required for this position.
Underground Utility Laborers perform physically demanding hands-on work to install, repair, and maintain subterranean infrastructure—including water lines, sewer mains, gas pipes, electrical conduits, and telecommunications fibers.
Laborers work alongside heavy equipment operators, pipefitters, and site supervisors to ensure trenching and utility placements are executed safely and accurately.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting with a variety of tasks on construction sites. This position requires attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs), work in outdoor environments, and perform tasks requiring physical stamina.
Hand digging and shoveling, trenching support, shoring and trench protection, pipe installation, operation of power tools, site maintenance, and hazard identification.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs, as required.
