Consumer products company needs a Product Development Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative consumer electronic products from concept through production. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong technical foundation and leadership skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
- Experience in consumer electronics product development
- Develop detailed assembly instructions and quality control (QC) procedures
- Design and implement production test fixtures
- Create effective packaging and retail display solutions
- Interface with UL and other regulatory agencies for product compliance
- Provide technical support to QC inspectors and resolve manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with overseas contract manufacturers to ensure product quality and timely delivery
- Proven experience designing high-power LED circuits and lithium-ion battery systems
- Electrical Engineer – BSEE strongly preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience working with international teams and manufacturers
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance processes (UL, CE, etc.)
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
