Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews
- Using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ( Opendental + XDR)
- Rarely will take radiographs
- Spanish-speaking ( Highly encouraged)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety
Experience
- Proven experience as a dental hygienist in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing
- Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment
- Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Prior experience working with Opendental and reviewing medical records to ensure comprehensive patient assessments

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
