Launch your career in the exciting world of aerospace manufacturing! EURO-COMPOSITES® Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of lightweight composite products for the aerospace industry, is searching for a meticulous Quality Control Technician to join our team in Culpeper, Virginia.
In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products by executing precise testing protocols, managing critical material tracking, and collaborating across departments to maintain our rigorous safety and excellence standards.
Material Testing: Prepare material samples for various testing procedures; conduct visual, physical, mechanical, rheological, and chemical tests on non-metallic materials and equipment.
Receiving & Inspection: Perform receiving inspection tests, including reviewing the "out time" of frozen products during transit; issue acceptance stickers and formal approval records.
Equipment Calibration: Evaluate measuring instruments and heat-treating equipment to ensure ongoing accuracy and functionality.
Quality Assessment: Accept or reject materials and instruments based strictly on test results and established criteria.
Documentation & Data Entry: Document test setups and results thoroughly and accurately; input all quality data into the company ERP system.
Inventory & Logistics: Test products on a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) basis unless otherwise directed by Planning. Manage the test sheet inventory and provide test sheets to Shipping without delay.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with adjacent departments to provide constructive feedback and support regarding quality control findings.
A strong fundamental understanding of physics and math concepts.
A technical or manufacturing background (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
A meticulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to precision.
Working knowledge of various measurement units used in material testing.
The ability to work different shifts.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, stand and walk for extended periods, and comfortably reach, bend, and climb.
