Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service and assistance throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales opportunities
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining an organized store environment
- Support upselling efforts by recommending additional products aligned with customer needs
- Handle retail store product knowledge inquiries confidently, providing clear information about items including grocery products when applicable
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual setting is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and performing retail math calculations accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
- Knowledge of merchandising, stock management, and product demos enhances your fit for this role
