Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to uphold food safety standards
- Assist with meal prep for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate order flow and address any issues promptly
- Support catering functions by preparing large quantities of menu items as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and portion control
- Knowledge of food safety management and adherence to safety standards in production environments
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Background in culinary arts or related training is preferred but not required
