Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a patient and observant individual who can work effectively with diverse populations, including those with dementia.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and observe patients' health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and dietary restrictions
- Maintain cleanliness in the living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks
- Support clients in following their individualized care plans, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities
- Assist with heavy lifting as needed to support clients in their daily routines
- Work collaboratively with family members and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide transportation for clients to safely get to appointments or assist with grocery shopping
Experience
- Prior experience in patient care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and care plan implementation is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
- A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity at all times
- Reliable transportation a MUST.

- Cheboygan
- Indian River
- Onaway
We are looking to expand in order to cover as much of the surrounding region as we can and need employees who live in those areas.
