- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Develop individual component drawings and sub-assembly documentation
- Generate exploded assembly views and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Create assembly instructions for manufacturing and service teams
- Produce renderings for sales, marketing, technical manuals, and customer-facing materials
- Support prototype development and design validation activities
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, purchasing, and production teams
- Assist with product improvements focused on manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and cost reduction
- Manage engineering change orders (ECOs), revisions, and drawing updates
- Maintain accurate part numbering, assembly structures, and document control within PDM systems
- Organize and maintain CAD files, drawings, and technical documentation
- Support quality and process improvement initiatives through workflow and documentation development
What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field
- Strong proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD
- Experience creating manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and detailed part documentation
- Understanding of mechanical components, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes
- Experience with BOM management, ECOs, and revision control
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks Visualize
- AutoCAD experience
- Familiarity with PDM systems and document control processes
- Adobe Photoshop experience
- Experience supporting product development, prototype builds, and production releases
